OpenID is a new internet standard which eliminates the need for
multiple usernames and passwords across different websites,
simplifying your online experience.
Normally OpenID requires you to store your username and
password on at least one web site which other sites will query for
your credentials.
However Glynx OpenID is different from the rest. Using Glynx
OpenID, you don't need
any usernames or passwords. Simply use a verified
Glynx ID when logging into an OpenID-supported website, and a
window will pop up from your Glynx on your PC. You then click
"allow" on the popup window and voila! You are logged into the
site.
It's more private than other OpenID soutions because you
don't have to store a username or password anywhere. And It's more
secure because no-one else can fake clicking on the popup on your
PC from somewhere else in the internet.
You can use your Glynx OpenID on any one of a growing number
of sites (nearly ten-thousand) which support OpenID. If one of your
favorite sites doesn't support OpenID yet, ask them when they will!
