how glynx works
- Glynx works automatically with your contact information from PC
applications, social networking sites and phone systems.
- Glynx automatically, confidentially and securely finds your
contacts who also run Glynx - no more hassles of inviting people to
join a service you use.
- When you decide to share selected, personal contact information
with others in your Glynx network, Glynx automatically sends any
updates to them. There's no need for you to send update emails. Nor
do you have to rely on third parties who may not pass on your
selected contact details - or who may attach advertisements or
other unnecessary and annoying information.
- You choose what contact information you wish to share with
others (from nothing to anything and everything) and you can share
different information with different groups of contacts. So you are
in total control of who sees what, and when.
- All information sent by your Glynx software is encrypted before
transmission and/or publication. In particular, Glynx software
encrypts your identity and makes only this encrypted Identity
information publicly visible. Neither Glynx, nor anyone else can
reverse engineer your true identity from this encrypted identity.
We call this arrangement of public, encrypted identities the "Glynx
Blackpages" and it is used by others who already know your true
Identity to locate you in the Glynx network.
- You can also choose not to encrypt other information and make
it public but this will be visible to everyone, like a Whitepages
directory.
- We have no access to your private information or relationships
and cannot keep records of the information that you share with
others. We do, however collect aggregate usage statistics, not
statistics about particular relationship activity
- You can ask Glynx to verify and certify (or allow others to
verify and certify) your contact information before publishing, so
you can be confident that people you find through Glynx are who
they say they are.
